Welcome to Honeybourne Primary Academy
Our newly launched website is designed to keep you as our parent body, in touch with us as a school. During the current pandemic it is providing a vital link between home and school and offers a tremendous amount of support and information. As we publish new articles, we hope that the site will give you a logical route through so that you can find what you are looking for. However, please ring or email if you would like to talk to us, or arrange a visit once we are open to the public
During the current health crisis, please be assured, that we are open for business as (almost!) usual to our children be we are not able to accpet any visitors in person. We hope this won't be for too long and encourage anyone interested in our school to stay in touch.
Our thriving school provides education for children from 2-4 years in our Nursery and from 4 to 11years in the main school. Providing high quality care, education and support for young people's development is what we do well, enabling our pupils to achieve, become independent learners and be part of the wider society as responsible citizens. We aim to develop resilience in our pupils, give them confidence in themselves so that they can try anything and learn from their work.
Alongside ensuring we provide high quality education and care for all our pupils, one of our key drivers is to ensure that we are the 'school of choice' for all families and children in our catchment area. and we feel we have achieved this over the last few years. Our number on roll has more than doubled and as from 2021, we will be a one form entry school. This means that we will have 30 places per year group rather than the current 20. As an Academy, we are independent of the Local Authority and receive our funding from central government. We are delighted we are educating pupils up to, and including, Year 6. All pupils registered in school therefore, will automatically be entitled to a Year 6 place here, no further application is needed.
Whilst run by the school, our Nursery has its own Day Manager and is privately run, therefore the catchment area policy does not apply. We take children from a wide area. Please ask about availability of sessions for September onwards. In all other ways, our Nursery is very much a part of school with the children having the benefit of cooked lunch at mid-day and eating in the school hall with all the other children. We are also able to make great use of the school grounds and facilities to enhance the Nursery provision. Our Nursery page will give you more information but please email us if you can't find what you are looking for.
Within this website you will find all the information you will need about our school. Please check regularly as information is updated frequently.
For school documents and policies please check the "Information" section of the site.
For school news and upcoming events please check the "News" section of the site.

Each class also has its own page. We are making much more use of this facility currently, as a way to keep parents up to date with their child's learning. Keep a look out! Also, registered parents are enjoying the use of the Seesaw app to view children's work and keep in touch with school. In addition, our Reward Assemblies are now also posted on the website so you can keep in touch, whilst we can't have an 'actual' gathering to celebrate!
You can also download the school prospectus from the about us section - this is due a revamp very soon! If you have any issues or questions, you can get in touch with us using the contact us section of the website. Please direct any queries to Mrs Cowley or myself, Mrs Huntington on 01386830462. You are most welcome to book a visit to the School or Nursery to see what we have to offer.
We hope you enjoy using our website and we look forward to working with you and your children.
With very best wishes as we look forward to working with you,
Mrs Elaine Huntington,
