Honeybourne Primary Academy
Turning potential into success

About Us

Our Aims and Values

Our motto is turning potential into success.  We try to develop every child, see what their potential is and work hard to ensure they all achieve as much as they can.   We have phrased our aims and values in 5 statements, in child-friendly terms to help share our message.

At Honeybourne Primary Academy we work together and aim to:

  • Try something new, have a go and take risks. Accept mistakes as a part of learning.
  • Always give our best effort - be responsible for our own success.
  • Think about and use what we already know to improve success.
  • Be respectful, confident and trustworthy. Take advice so we know how to move on to achieve our goals.
  • Enjoy our education by learning together, for life

Friends and Volunteers

We have a willing and loyal group of parents (and grandparents!) who support our school as volunteers, with reading 1-1 and in groups, with art or drama activities or helping to put together Christmas parties or a masked ball for fun and fundraising.  A more organised, Friends of Honeybourne group is run by a super group of willing parents who give up their time to put on social and fund raising events to support our school.  We are always looking for new members to help and support so please let us know if you are interested.

Other information about us:

We have a school council, made up of pupils from all classes who meet regularly to discuss any problems, good ideas or interview new staff!  In the past, the school council were instrumental in the design and building of our outsid eplaytrail.  We have an eco council, also made up of pupils and staff and we are currently recruiting for a governor rep.  We have run campaigns, such as 'Waste Week', Switch off Fortnight and other areas deisigned to help us save energy.

We think our school is an exciting, successful and unique place. We would love to show you round and let you see for yourself.

Thank you for reading this.
